Register as a bone marrow donor in memory of Monsignor Art Valenzano.
Sunday, March 13, 2016
1:00pm – 4:00pm
Knights of Columbus Hall, 1338 Hull St. Baltimore, MD 21230
Monsignor Arthur F. Valenzano was the rector of Baltimore’s Basilica of the Assumption when he passed away from leukemia in September 2015. He had battled the disease since 2006 and had two bone marrow transplants at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
For many blood cancer patients, a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant is the only hope for a cure, but they need a perfect matching donor found on the international bone marrow donor registry. All it takes is a cheek swab to get on the registry. Consider swabbing in memory of Monsignor Valenzano and bring hope to patients and families waiting for a bone marrow transplant.
