There Goes My Hero has been invited to run a bone marrow registry drive in honor of jockey Fray Martinez, who is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia.

A little bit about Fray: 21-year-old jockey Fray Martinez was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in December. He is receiving treatment at University Hospital, Public Medical Center at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan. He is loved and well-respected by all for his kind heart and solid work ethic. Join us in helping Fray and his wife, who is five months pregnant with their first child, during this difficult time.

If you would like to donate, please mail a check made out to the Maryland Horsemen’s Assistance Foundation to 500 Redland Court, Suite 105, Owings Mills, MD 21117. The Maryland Horsemen’s Assistance Foundation is a 501c-3 charitable organization to provide financial assistance for extraordinary circumstances to eligible employees actively working at Maryland race tracks and/or Thoroughbred farms.
