Drive-Up Bone Marrow Registry Drive in Honor of Kristy Cooper
November 28 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
There Goes My Hero and the Kiddie Academy of Abingdon have partnered to host a contact-less drive-up bone marrow registry drive in honor of Kristy Cooper, a local Harford County resident. In October, Kristy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and will likely need a bone marrow transplant.
It only takes five minutes to register, and you could save a life. Each year, thousands of patients with blood cancers and blood disorders will need a bone marrow transplant to survive. With a simple cheek swab, you’ll be a registered bone marrow donor and if you match with a patient in need, you may be asked to donate.
If you are interested in joining the bone marrow registry, RSVP to email@example.com by November 21st. If you have any questions, please contact us or visit www.theregoesmyhero.org to learn more.
**Staff members and volunteers will be following all COVID safety measures and social distancing regulations.
