As 2023 comes to end, we would like to take a moment to recognize and thank all of There Goes My Hero’s volunteers for an amazing year of volunteering. As a part of our mission, volunteers help register potential lifesavers onto the National Bone Marrow Registry, prepare and serve meals to patients and caregivers at Johns Hopkins Hackerman-Patz Patient and Family Pavilion, and assemble care packages. Since the beginning of the year, our volunteers:
- Educated 1,654 people on blood cancer
- Registered 545 potential lifesavers onto the National Bone Marrow Registry
- Served 593 meals to patients and their caregivers at Johns Hopkins Hackerman-Patz Patient and Family Pavilion
- Assembled 160 care packages
Thank you to everyone who gives their time to support what we do. We really couldn’t do this without you.
Let’s take a look back at all we’ve done this year.
