Swabbing Surprise Featured on WBFF Fox45 News

Our board member George Hall is too familiar with blood cancer. His father passed away from leukemia before he could find a cure and his sister was recently told that she needed a bone marrow transplant to cure her blood cancer. To support George, his coworkers at LINQ Services decided to host a surprise bone marrow registry drive in honor of his sister Liz.

On a Sunday in February, hundreds of people gathered at Silo Point in Baltimore to get swabbed and support George and Liz. The surprise party included food, drinks, an appearance by Washington Redskins Hall-of-Famer Darrell Green, an auction, and of course, swabbing to get people on the bone marrow registry. We added almost 100 people to the bone marrow donor registry. WBFF Fox45 was on hand to capture the moment.
